Monctonstadium in New Brunswick will get more than $250,000 funding from the federal and provincial governments for an upgrade project, reports CBC News.
The City of Moncton and Université de Moncton are also each contributing $80,174 to the project.
Moncton is slated to host the FIFA Under 20 Women’s World Cup next year and the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup of Soccer.
The upgrades include the addition of two dressing rooms with separate shower and washroom facilities.
