The first projects announced for the 2014 construction season will help to improve roadways across the Island, Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal Minister Robert Vessey said.
“We are proud to make strategic investments in our highway network for the coming season that will help Islanders travel more safely and efficiently throughout our province,” Vessey said. “The projects will also improve how we transport our goods to market and will create jobs right here in Prince Edward Island.”
The first round of 2014 tenders includes 10 highway resurfacing or reconstruction projects distributed throughout all three counties.
A second round of tenders will be announced in the coming weeks.
