The federal government recently announced a $1.3 million funding for runway upgrades for the J.A. Douglas McCurdy Sydney Airport, reports Cape Breton Post.
To date, the Sydney airport has received more than $12 million in funding for 22 safety projects through the federal assistance program.
“These repairs will enhance the safety and serviceability of our infrastructure as we continue to improve our services and facilities,” said Doug Peach, chair of the airport.
