The Town Council in Labrador City recently expressed its unequivocal support for Nalcor Energy’s proposal to construct a new transmission line from Churchill Falls to Labrador West, reports The Aurora.
In a letter to Natural Resources Minister Derrick Dalley a few weeks ago, the town said it supports the project.
The letter also said the building of the new line will benefit the province as a whole through the enhanced royalty and industrial power policies, which were implemented by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.
