Construction begins on addictions treatment centre in Edmundston

On November 18, construction has started on an addictions treatment centre in Edmundston, New Brunswick, DailyBusinessBuzz reports.
MFA Construction Inc. received a $4.6-million contract from the province to build the single-storey building on a 0.96-hectare, or 2.4-acre, property near the Edmundston Regional Hospital.
The 12-bed facility was designed by Architect Ronald Lapointe Architecte Inc. It will cover 1,842 sq. m. (19,800 sq. ft).The design of the centre will maximize accessibility and mobility for wheelchair users.
Work is expected to be completed in the fall of 2014.
