The Town of Buchans has received $144,000 funding to make the necessary repairs to an outdoor pool, reports CBC News.
The people have not been able to use the pool for three years. “There are a lot of serious problems that need attention, such as a badly leaking lining,” according to the news report.
Engineering work has already started and construction is expected to begin in September.
The town plans to complete the pool in June 2014 so it can stay open all summer.
