In 2013, building permits issued so far in Colchester County in Nova Scotia are down over last year, but that is not reflected in the dollar values they represent, reports Truro Daily News.
So far this year, the municipality has issued 356 permits valued at $44.9 million compared to 366 permits issued for the same period last year valued at $38.3 million, a difference of $6.7 million.
For August, the county issued 49 permits valued at $5.9 million compared to 60 permits valued at $3.7 million during the same month last year.
