Corner Brook extends deadline for recreational building construction proposals

City of Corner Brook has extended the deadline for proposals on the design and construction of a new gymnastics and recreational building on Wellington Street until July 30, reports Western Star.

The previous deadline for submissions was July 18. The city granted an extension at the request of a consultant that needed more time.

“We had a request from one of the parties that had picked up a package (request for proposals document) and requested more time to prepare their bid,” said Steve May, director of operational services for the City of Corner Brook.

May said the costs are yet to be determined due to the restrictions under the RFP, but hopes numbers will be low.
