Joseph MacDonald & Sons wins contract to move Peter Jonah Bridge

The City of Moncton has awarded a tender to Joseph MacDonald & Sons to move the 101-year-old Peter Jonah Bridge at the Turtle Creek reservoir.

The bridge’srelocation will allow a second dam to be constructed at the reservoir.

The Peter Jonah Bridge is one of only two in New Brunswick with a cottage roof.

Joseph MacDonald & Sons will move the 64-foot ‘Turtle Creek 4’ bridge to land it owns. The contract is valued at around $250,000.
