The Guardian reports that Prince Edward Island’s Occupational Health and Safety are investigating an accident at the Trans-Canada Highway realignment construction site after a boom truck hit a power line last week.
As a result of this incident, the pole was knocked onto the road and about 2,500 customers were left without power for four hours.
No one was hurt in the incident.
According to the news report, Highfield Construction was contacted about the accident but the company said it did not want to comment.
