Southwest Properties and the Nova Scotia government have finalized an agreement for a 16-storey apartment building in the south end of Halifax, reports CTVNews.
Developer Jim Spatz and his partner Peter Carver of Minett Real Estate said there will be 250 residential units, plus retail outlets and public spaces.The developers have a 99-year lease on the property, which is owned by the Waterfront Development Corp.
The $75-million project is the biggest one in the history of the Waterfront Development Corp. It will cover an area slightly larger than half a hectare.
Construction is scheduled to begin next year with the complex is expected to be opened in 2016.
