The drilling support module for the $14-billion Hebron platform — a section of the platform’s topsides — is being built by Kiewit in Marystown. The company is looking to hire 70 welders.
The company is looking to connect with apprentice and journeyperson welders who have an interest in the project work, according to public advertisements.
The drilling support module is one of two key modules of the Hebron project being built in Newfoundland and Labrador. The other is the living quarters module, to be built at Nalcor Energy’s Bull Arm fabrication site.
