Dexter Construction Ltd. proposed building a rock quarry for the Marion Bridge area in Huntington, reports the Cape Breton Post.
The company has asked the Nova Scotia Department of Environment for approval to operate a quarry of less than four hectares in Huntington.
However, some residents are worried about the quarry, saying that it will lead to environmental damage to local waters and wildlife.
